Well, Hay season came and went faster than you can blink. The hay got cut Saturday, raked on Sunday, Then, the rains came and did not stop all week. Needless to say the whole hay crop was ruined, looks like we will be buying hay AGAIN this year. Oh well, thing can't always go as planned. On a happier note, things are really growing well even though it has been VERY wet this year. I am winning the battle with the slugs so I am on happy lady. Here are some pics of the garden.

Big Beef tomatoes, the largest tomatoes I have ever grown :)

Confused.. 2 feet tall and has tassels. I do have to say it is pretty cute :)

Flowers on my Canteloup.

First sunflower of the year! My Favorite Flower.

The garden. Peas are coming up, potatoes growing nicely, everything is doing quite well.

Check Sweet pea out. She is getting large. Estimated due date is mid September.
From July 4th - July 11th I have been on Vacation. I am returning to work at 1 p.m. tomorrow. Through out that week I have been working around the farm and enjoying the beautiful summer weather we have been having. Here are some picture of what is going on here at the Sumerlin Dorper Farm.

We have another local farmer that is cutting and bailing our back field. We are going to take some of it for our Sheep and he will take the rest!

You cannot tell here, but some of the grass was about 8 feet tall.

Cam checking out the progress.

Cut and fluffed.

My corn garden is grown quite well now.

I am so proud of my tomato plant. This is the best one so far! But I have 6 more that should start setting fruit soon :)

I love my food saver. My mom brought over a mix of Red and Green Rhubarb on Wednesday, so I got it all chopped, food saved and in the freezer!
